Double Sharp is an exciting piano duo, combining talents of two Russian born piansts, Natasha Marin and Maria Demina, and fashion designer Vera Chernova DeFehr.
“Double Sharp” performs technically challenging and diverse music by Russian Romantic and 20thcentury composers, as all as standard pianistic repertoire. The duo adds an innovative theatrical element to the performance incorporating one of a kind consumes created by fashion designer Vera Chernova DeFehr as an integral part of their artistic presentation.
Since their premiere in 2008 at LACMA’s Sundays Live Series the duo have been prizewinners in regional piano duo competition, performed nationwide and abroad in live concerts and radio broadcasts, and made special appearances at charity events for Robert Shapiro’s Foundation and Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock foundation.
Vera’s costumes for “DoubleSharp” were featured at a special presentation at the Craft and Folk Art Museum in Los Angeles.
