Russian-born pianist Natasha Marin enjoys a rich and varied musical career, performing internationally as a soloist, with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and in piano duos. She has appeared in prestigious venues including Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York, St. Petersburg Philharmonic and Capella Halls in Russia, Comerica Theater in Phoenix, Zipper Hall and Schoenberg Hall in Los Angeles, among many others.

Her collaborations include piano duos with renowned pianists Gerald Robbins and Dmitry Rachmanov, and the innovative “Double Sharp” project with Maria Demina, which features performances enhanced by custom-designed costumes by Vera Chernova DeFehr. Natasha frequently performs both piano and harpsichord repertoire with instrumentalists and vocalists from the United States and Europe. Together with soprano Nicole Taylor Natasha presented a series of concerts as part of the U. S. Department of State Arts Envoy program.

Her recent engagements span the U.S. and abroad, with concerts in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Austria, France, Israel, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Russia, and Spain. Her recordings, both solo and collaborative, have been released in the U.S. and Europe. Natasha is a Pandora Radio Artist.

In addition to classical music, Natasha embraces a wide range of genres. She contributed to the classical crossover album Siren by Sasha and Shawna, produced by Grammy Award-winning Peter Asher, and has performed with rock/pop vocalist Jon Fiore. She also recorded for the documentary film Searching for Posada: Art and Revolutions and has performed with actor/comedian Cheech Marin, appearing together at the Hollywood Bowl and other major venues and festivals across the U.S.

A passionate advocate for electronic music, Natasha studied electroacoustic composition at the USC Thornton School of Music and released her electronic music album Songs of the Desert in 2024. The preview of the album with the artwork created by Marta Sanchez was presented at the Maguire Museum as a part of the 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival and the album was submitted for Grammy® consideration.

Natasha began her piano studies in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the Special Music School for Gifted Children. She earned her BA with honors from the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College and completed studies at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory under Leonid Sinstev and Igor Lebedev. She continued her education in the U.S., earning a graduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied piano performance with Vitaly Margulis and Antoinette Perry, contemporary music with Grammy Award-winning pianist Gloria Cheng, and worked with scholar Robert Winter. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California, with a major in Piano Performance and minors in Music Education, Early Music, and Electroacoustic Composition.

Natasha is the founder of the Marin Salon Series, a presenter of intimate performances and musical experiences, and the designer of HighNotesCollection®, a jewelry line inspired by music.

She married actor and comedian Cheech Marin in a ceremony officiated by then-Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and officially changed her name from Rubin to Marin. The couple resides in California.
